What a Great Helper!

I love that Sam is old enough now that he can actually help out! This morning I was folding laundry and he really wanted in on the action. Obviously he is not quite old enough to fold, but I had him pull all of the socks out of the basket, which was actually pretty helpful. Then he helped me by putting all the dirty laundry that had been piled on the closet floor into the laundry basket. It may not sound like much, but at 30 weeks pregnant, I really enjoyed not having to bend down and get it myself!

Some cute shots of my little helper:

Long Bridge Park

Arlington has a great new park that we checked out over Thanksgiving weekend. It is located by the airport, and while we were there we saw three trains, a helicopter, and a dozen airplanes. It was great. If you live in the area, I highly recommend checking out Long Bridge Park. I will definitely be returning after baby is here to jog and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Catch-Up #3: Tailgate Party

I have a few catch-up posts I need to do. I know it is now December, so please bear with me as I recap some of our fall events…

This fall, my neighborhood MOMS club held a tailgating party. It was a potluck and everyone was encouraged to wear their favorite football team’s gear. Of course, we got Sam all dressed up in his finest UT attire. He had a great time running around with the other kids and throwing the football with Daddy.

Catch-Up #2: Stephanie’s Wedding

I have a few catch-up posts I need to do. I know it is now December, so please bear with me as I recap some of our fall events…

In October, Ben, Sam and I traveled to Texas for Stephanie’s wedding. Stephanie and I have been best friends since we were little and I was so excited to be a part of her and Jose Luis’s wedding.

Sam and I flew into Austin on Friday morning so we could be there in time for the rehearsal dinner. It was ROUGH flying with Sam by myself. Sam was a great traveler but it was so hard to carry all of our stuff (including Sam’s car seat) through the airport with my big pregnant belly. But my mom picked us up at the airport and from then on it was smooth sailing. We drove down to Blanco, where the wedding was held. The three of us went to the rehearsal dinner and then Ben and Jerry joined us later that night. The weather that whole weekend was amazing–sunny, clear, and the perfect temp!

Here are a few pics from the weekend.

(Sam loooved the band and had so much fun dancing. He spent the whole night picking girls to dance with. Sorry for the horrible quality, but at least you get the idea.)

Catch-Up #1: Pumpkins

I have a few catch-up posts I need to do. I know it is now December, so please bear with me as I recap some of our fall events…

This year we went to THREE pumpkin patches!! I already posted about our first trip, which was to Cox Farms, but I thought I should also share some pics from the other two.

This trip was on Sam’s birthday. We just headed down the street with some friends to a church that has a huge lot of pumpkins for sale every year. The kids had a great time rearranging all the pumpkins, and even hopped into the wagons themselves.

I really love the picture of Sam and Lucy in the wagon. I had to keep corralling him because he kept running off that day (scary) so I think he was annoyed with me here:

The third trip was with Deirdre and Evie. We went to the Pumpkin Playground in Burke. It sounded great and we were going on a Thursday morning, so we assumed it wouldn’t be too crazy. But we were wrong. It was PACKED and, to make things worse, it had rained the day before and the ground was a mess. We were all caked in mud by the time we left. But we still had fun and Evie and Sam had a good time playing together!
